Vintage Circa 1968-71 Cooper HM7 Hockey Goalie Mask
Rare and vintage Cooper HM7 goalie mask from the late 1960s, the older version before they began adding the COOPER HM7 stamping at the forehead. This (
originally) see-thru amber color Cooper HM7 with original straps has had a couple of old paint jobs… first black then white. Has a crack at the chin but this is a really cool style and will make a great display piece.
These were available in clear or flesh tone but the clear versions are rarer by far. This was a style that many young goalie wore as their first mask on the ice for minor hockey and on the streets! In well-used condition overall with a crack at the chin and loads of wear and use. The valuable original straps are in great shape but have some marker ink lines. All of the leather and buckles are intact and in working condition. These old plastic Coopers came straight off the store shelf and there are many stories in the Facebook mask collecting groups from older netminders who claim this style as the first they wore in minor ice hockey.
